Introduction to Livestock Farming (Fishery)
Livestock farming, also known as animal husbandry, is the practice of raising animals for food, fiber, labor, and other products. It includes breeding and managing animals like cattle, sheep, goats, poultry, and pigs. Livestock farming plays a critical role in global food production, providing essential products such as meat, milk, eggs, and wool. The success of livestock farming depends on proper nutrition, animal welfare, disease management, and sustainable farming practices that ensure the well-being of both the animals and the environment.
At WCOTSDAD, we specialize mostly on cat fish and piggery.
Catfish and piggery farming are both valuable agricultural ventures, involving the cultivation of catfish in controlled water environments and the raising of pigs for meat production. Both require proper care, feeding, and management to ensure healthy, sustainable, and profitable yields.

We train our students and trainees basically on cat fish farming and also pig farming.
